What hosted CS2 hour idling does
HourIdler reports CS2 as active through a hosted Steam session without launching the game executable or joining a match. Steam controls recorded playtime. The dashboard's elapsed session time is not proof that a Steam profile has updated immediately.
The number people mean by "CS2 hours" is the horas registradas Steam shows for Counter-Strike 2 on your profile, in your library and on the game's entry in your Recent Activity. It is a Steam account statistic, not something the game itself calculates. Hour idling adds to that counter and nothing else.
How fast CS2 hours go up
A game can gain at most 24 hours per calendar day, however many other games run alongside it. A Steam session can report up to 32 games at once, and each of them collects its own time, but selecting more games never makes CS2's counter move faster.

What it does not do
It does not play matches, improve skill, change rank or Premier rating, unlock achievements or buy Prime. It does not perform the gameplay needed for in-game progression or rewards. Do not buy hour idling as a way to obtain gameplay rewards.
- No XP, weekly drops or service medals. Those come from playing matches, and an idled session never joins one.
- No Prime Status. Prime Status is a purchase on Steam. Hours on record do not unlock it.
- No matchmaking changes you can count on. Valve has not published how Trust Factor weighs playtime, so do not expect idled hours to change who you are matched with.
- No skill signal. Teams, trading partners and communities that look at your hours can also see your rank, match history and how long the account has existed. A high count with nothing behind it is easy to spot.
How to assess account safety
HourIdler does not inject code or join VAC-secured game servers. Read Valve's VAC documentation and our account-access and VAC explanation. Those technical distinctions are not a guarantee against every account restriction or future policy change.
Valve describes VAC as a system that detects cheats installed on a computer that connects to VAC-secured servers. An idled CS2 session runs no game files on any computer and never connects to a CS2 match server, so there is nothing for VAC to inspect. That is the whole of the technical argument; it says nothing about rules Valve may write later.
QR login shares a session token rather than your password. Password login is also available: encrypted storage still allows the service to decrypt login material for authentication. Review the política de privacidad and connect only your own accounts.
What your friends see while CS2 idles
By default your friends see you in game in Counter-Strike 2 while the hosted session runs. In HourIdler's account settings, Online Status can set the session to Online, Offline or Invisible, and Show As picks Away, Busy and similar states. Paid plans can also replace the game name with your own custom playing text.
Playing CS2 yourself while it idles
Steam lets one session play games at a time. When you launch CS2 or any other game on your own PC, Steam ends the hosted session's playing state and your own play counts as normal. Set up CS2 hour idling
- Create a free HourIdler account. Free includes 2 Steam accounts, up to 32 selected games each and unlimited hours.
- Add your Steam account from the dashboard, preferably with QR approval in the Steam Mobile app.
- Abierto Games for that account, search for Counter-Strike 2 (app 730) and save. CS2 is free to play; if it is not in your library yet, add it from its Steam store page first so the account holds a license.
- Press Start and wait for the account to show as idling. You can close the browser and switch your PC off.
- Check your Steam profile later. Steam updates the visible counter on its own schedule.

Can I get VAC banned for boosting CS2 hours?
VAC acts on cheats detected on a computer connected to a VAC-secured server. Hosted idling does neither, so it gives VAC nothing to detect. No provider can promise how Valve will treat every tool in future.
Do boosted hours look different from played hours?
Steam keeps one playtime counter per game. Your profile does not label hours as idled or played, but your match history, rank and XP level show how much you have actually played.
Can I boost hours on more than one CS2 account?

Does idling CS2 earn trading cards?
