Local idlers such as ArchiSteamFarm or Idle Master need an app running on hardware you control. ArchiSteamFarm is powerful and open source, but it also means maintaining its .NET application and account configuration yourself. HourIdler moves that runtime to a hosted server: sign up, add a Steam account, pick your games, and you are done.
You can use QR login so your Steam password never leaves your device. Once the session is connected, you may close the tab or switch devices; there is no background desktop process to keep awake and server-side updates are handled for you.
